PC3K Main Screen Series 3000 - PC3K

The WSA Fire Systems PC3K is a Windows-based software program used to configure a Series 3000 Fire Alarm Control Panel. It allows easy creation and editing of programming data, which can then be transferred to a panel. Data can also be read from the panel, so that an existing configuration can be viewed, edited, or saved to disk for later access.

A Quick Tour

Here are a few screenshots from PC3K. Click on an image to view a larger picture.

Inventory

This dialog box is used to configure the inventory of the system, particularly the quantities and types of devices that will be installed. This dialog is also where you can configure which network devices are installed, and at what addresses. The System Inventory configuration is implemented as a tabbed dialog, with each page dedicated to a single class of devices or modules. These include:

  • SLC Devices - Addressable sensors, inputs, outputs, and relays
  • FZA and TZB Devices - Networked conventional input zones
  • RLDs - Remote LED Drivers
  • RDAs - Remote Display Annunciators
  • CBMs - City Box Modules
  • ZRMs - Zone Relay Modules
  • DIOs - Dual-Input / Dual-Output Modules
  • PNIs - S1000s, Remote Printers, Remote LEDs or Relays

System Configuration

System programming is accomplished thru a tabbed dialog box, where the pages include:

  • System Configuration - Global options, such as NAC configuration, system timing, system options, the banner message, and clock settings.
  • Input Configuration - Each type of sensor (such as ion, photo, and heat) may be assigned a low, menium, and high sensitivity level. Also input options such as auto-test time, LED blink, and maintenance and service alert levels can be set.
  • Day/Night Schedules - Day/Night schedules and holiday settings
  • On/Off Schedules - On/Off schedule settings

Point Configuration

This dialog is used to assign devices to addresses, and to edit the parameters for each device. The dialog is very flexible and provides numerous powerful and time-saving shortcuts to ease point programming. Points are viewed by loop, and may be edited on a point-by-point basis (label, group assignments, sensitivity, schedules, etc.), or you may select multiple devices and edit all common properties. This makes it very easy to, for example, set all sensors to medium sensitivity, or to assign a group of pull stations to a particular output group.

Group Configuration

This dialog is used to edit parameters for each output group. The group array is used to represent all of the output groups, where each box is one group. Click on a group to display and edit its settings, or select multiple groups to mass-edit a number of groups at once. Group parameters include a 20-character courtesy label, a floor assignment, and remote LED mapping. This dialog also makes it easy to visually verify mapping, by clicking on a particular group and scrolling thru the lists of inputs and ouptuts mapped to that group.

Purchase

In order to use PC3K with a Series 3000 fire alarm control panel, you will need to purchase a license for PC3K. The full version comes with the program (on CD-ROM or diskettes), a comprehensive user's manual, and a PCI (Program Cable Interface), which is required in order to communicate with a panel.

To purchase the full version of PC3K and the programming cable, please contact WSA Fire Systems.
