WSA Annunciators prides itself on its commitment to excellence in graphic design. The graphic images are created by expert CAD/CAM professionals using laser typeset font and line technology.

The background is black with all line work and typography in contrasting colors. Many colors are available for designation of special hazard or special application areas on the graphic display. However, the use of many colors is not recommended in any one annunciator. In most applications, the use of too many colors is visually confusing to the operator and impedes rather than facilitates use of the graphic information. As always, feel free to contact WSA's expert Design and Engineering Groups with color questions, or with any other questions you may have in laying out an effective annunciator for your application.

Electrical Component Backplane

All electronic assemblies are mounted on a separate metal backplane for easy mounting in the annunciator's backbox. On the backplane you will find the printed circuit board(s) that facilitate the connections to the controlling equipment as well as the optional components such as lamp test modules, relays outputs and/or alarm sounders. In addition, all LED and switch connections to the front panel assembly are made with quick disconnect connectors, allowing for easy pre-installation and connection of the electronics before the front panel is installed. This makes the installation simpler and limits damage to the graphic front panel during installation.
